August 20, 2018

At this time we are setting up appointments to enroll students who live within the attendance area of Lincoln Park High School. The first step in the enrollment process is verification of residency within the Lincoln Park High School Attendance Area. You can check if your address is within the LPHS attendance area at: http://cps.edu/ScriptLibrary/Map-SchoolLocator/index.html. Once that is confirmed, registration can proceed. To prepare for this step, you must collect the appropriate documents. Following this letter, you will find a list of the documents that must be presented at registration. Please read this letter closely as it should answer most of your questions.

For registration to proceed, we require the student’s legal guardian and the student (if possible) to be in attendance. If the student is not able to come to the registration appointment, please talk with the student beforehand to find out which World Language they would like to study (Spanish, French, Arabic, or Mandarin), which elective they would like to study (Art, General Music/Music History, Band, Orchestra, Choir, or Computer Science), and which Physical Education option (Physical Education or JROTC) they would want to pursue. Anyone who arrives without the appropriate information, documentation, and an appointment; or who does not reside with the attendance area, will be turned away. Documents needed for registration are found following this letter.

If you cannot attend one of these days, there will be additional enrollment dates at the beginning of the school year.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email cmerle@cps.edu. Thanks, and we will see you soon!

Registration Policy

  • All IDs must be in parent/guardian’s name with the current address.

  • Student’s most recent grades, NWEA and/or other 8th grade test scores.

  • Original copy of the student’s birth certificate.

Address Verification may include:

Note: Enrollment/Admission will be delayed until appropriate identifying information is presented, NO EXCEPTIONS.
